Hi

I have a question and is there any way I can charge my Xbox Series controller? I have batteries inside but they are already as good as they are empty but can you simply charge the controller with Storm like the ps4 controller?

lu

No, only with rechargeable batteries, which you can actually buy in any electronics store.

You need the Play and Charge Kit for this

this is a small lithium ion battery from Microsoft

and a charging cable

costs about 20 euro

Ma

You can buy the Play & Charge kit. This allows you to charge your controller as normal. (23 euro)

Not if you have normal batteries in it. Icv think, however, that if you connect it and there are no batteries in it, it won't charge it by itself, so you don't have to worry about explosions or a fire or something.

But you can't charge those with abbotions.

ma

So I have to make extra expenses. I have a cable when I plug it in, my controller vibrates, but these are normal AA batteries inside. Doesn't do anything, does it?

Ma

No. That doesn't help. Otherwise nobody would buy such a kit.

ma

Is such a kit worth it?

If you do not want to buy batteries all the time, this question does not arise you need it either way

The controller would not charge the commercially available AA batteries

Ma

After 2 weeks of using my Series X, I bought such a kit because the batteries ran out so quickly. This battery lasts really long and if the battery runs out while playing you can simply plug in a cable and continue playing.

So my answer is definitely yes

The generally does not charge inserted AA batteries

The Xbox Play on Charge Kidt has other contacts through which the controller can recognize the lithium ion battery

Co

Yes, I also noticed afterwards. The Play and Charge Kit even adds a completely new connection and, as far as I know, is not charged via the controller's own port.

The Play on Charge Kid does not add any connection

it is inserted in the battery compartment but has 3 extra contacts in the middle, it is in the controller, you can charge the controller with a USB C cable on the xbox

Co

I have one for the XBOX One and it was still like that or at least from my manufacturer. Hmm… Well, it doesn't matter.

If that is the case that a new connection is added, it is not an original

The original battery cover fits over the original

Co

For me it replaces batteries and lids.

ma

Did you order it from Microsoft or something like Amazon?

Ma

Amazon
