Why is the time and date reset on my XBOX ONE X?

I have more or less a problem with my XBOX ONE X. The time and date are reset every time the console is started. It is always "6 p.m. And Monday, September 1, 2014". Strangely, the time and date are only reset to "standard" when I pull the power cord out of the socket. If the power cord gets stuck and I turn on the console, everything is normal. I'm only connected to the W-LAN when updates are pending, so the console is up to date. Otherwise, the console is offline, because I mostly only play in single-player mode. Does this have anything to do with the internet? In any case, it is annoying when you have to manually set the time and date correctly after each start and I'm slowly at the end of my lateies. The XBOX ONE X is as good as new and is not defective. Does anyone else have the same problem? I would be happy to receive helpful answers.

I suspect a defect in your BIOS battery. If your BIOS is not permanently supplied with power, your time and date will reset accordingly.

Since the XBox is also a computer, I assume that it also has a kind of bios battery. If it is empty, the time can no longer be kept.

I ordered the XBOX ONE X a few months ago in the Euronics online shop, so it is still as good as new, but I noticed that when I first started the console, because in the beginning it looked at the 4K Logo hung up and restarted but luckily I haven't had this problem for a long time.

Have my potential problem described checked. Possibly. That is already the solution.

Unfortunately, as I have read, this is normal.
The box does not have a built-in battery like a PC, but only a capacitor as a buffer that only briefly retains the time setting.

The time is saved as long as the box is connected to the mains.

Do you think I would find that rather unusual.
