I hope someone of you can help me.
About nine years ago I got an Xbox 360 for my birthday and at that time had an 0815 Xbox account. This e-mail address no longer exists and so I could no longer create the password.
Due to the corona-related short-time work, I have now dug up the Xbox again and wanted to log in with my real Microsoft account.
It all works flawlessly on my mobile phone, my desktop and also the Xbox Live app! However, the Xbox tells me that the password "wouldn't work". I registered the serial number of the console in my Microsoft account, deleted the old account and gave the Xbox full network access via the Fritzbox.
I'm slowly desperate. Hope someone has a tip
Attention, it could be due to the two-stage check! I had it myself. Due to a… Fiasco with my successes, Xbox Support in Live Chat considered changing my password and setting up a two-step verification. Unfortunately, this model seems to be causing problems on the Xbox 360. When I unpacked my Xbox 360 months later and wanted to register, I had the same error, only when I switched off the two-step verification for a test, the 360 let me register. I tested this with another account and it led to the same result - an Acc provided with the two-step verification, tried to log it into the 360 and thus download it - failed. Only when I switched off the check again could the second Acc register without any problems. Please check whether you have activated the two-step verification and deactivate it as a test. If the registration on the 360 then works, you should urgently contact Xbox support. Tell them that a user named SiHO colus has already reported that. It's hard to believe that Microsoft didn't bother.
