The Xbox Series X is 1Tb and that's enough to get you started.

If you're a casual gamer then the S is enough, but I'm actually not that much of a fan of all these slimmed down console variants. I think if you want to buy a console then you should get the right model and then save about longer.

The 512GB hard drive of the Xbox Series S should be sufficient, especially since the games are significantly smaller than on the Xbox Series X, for example.
I would still recommend an Xbox Series X to you. This is by far the only current console that is future-proof.
