Got the new Xbox Series S and now I want to talk to my buddy about game chat. I connected the PS4 headset to the controller but it doesn't work. It is recognized but the Headset Chatmixer field is still gray. Also only hear the sound on the TV. Do I need an Xbox headset, do you think everything else is not working? Am I doing something wrong?
I was able to plug my PS4 headset into the XboxOne. I don't know whether Microsoft changed something with the Xbox Series S (PlayStation + Xbox = competition). I don't really think so. Normally, headsets from third parties should also work (3.5mm jack plug). Look in the settings to see if something is disabled there.
Otherwise you have to download Discord on your PC or mobile phone and chat from there.
