Xbox controller does not work on the switch despite 8Bitdo stick and correct settings?

Today my 8Bitdo stick arrived that I wanted to use to play with the Xbox controller on the switch.

Now I have the problem that the controller does not work although it is coupled to the stick and the stick is in the switch. (I have already changed the settings as described in the instructions and restarted the switch several times and recoupled the controller several times with the stick (it is not the controller because it did not work with the Ps4 controller either))

I hope someone can help me and thank you in advance!

Before doing this it must be noted that in the switch menu under Settings / Controller / Connect with cable must be on

This is off by default.

I said I have all the right settings in there

The step was not noted in the old instructions, have you already installed the latest company product from your PC? That could be causing the problem

Jo got 1.3.3

Then unfortunately I can't help either

At the top next to your question you can ask the three dots the question again so that it is displayed again at the top of the homepage

So apparently nobody wants to help or can and I did some research.

In advance you said it was paired, if a device is paired, it is not yet connected this applies to Bluetooth in general. It must be explicitly "Connected" if there's a periphery overview

If it is, remove your controller from the register and let it reconnect, so your controller can be set up again, which is like a new installation and has fixed problems in many cases.

If you have already done this a few times, try playing an older firmware on it by selecting Manuel in the 8bitdo upgrade tool and you can choose any older version.

If that doesn't work either, you have 3 options:

You go to their homepage and look for customer support
you go with the stick to a friend and test whether it works there
If nothing works and support is incompetent, you can send the product back and find an alternative provider or get a controller that works on multiple platforms at the same time.

Hope that helped, I couldn't find out more, even after long research, your problem is apparently not known and is either a defective stick or you made a careless mistake at some point during the setup.

The most current version is 1.33 but I guess you just read it wrong
