What is the difference between Xbox series x and PS 5?

XBox is Microsoft, like a PC. If you have a PC at home, you don't need an XBox.

Xbox has more power, bigger internal memory
xbox has Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and can reproduce 1440p. Ps5 can unfortunately not do that.
