Xbox One Drive is not working anymore?

I've had issues with my drive for 1-2 years, in the form of noise (a tight grumble) that makes the console when I play a game, turn the console on & off, or just random. From time to time I also had problems inserting the game discs, but it finally worked after a few tries. Anyway, since yesterday I have the problem, the game discs can no longer be inserted, and the console makes other no sound as sunstone, if I press the button of the drive.

(I made a video so you can hear the sound yourself.

Out of synonymous I get too wide inserted discs synonymous only if I put a paper clip in the small hole on the left side, but that has not solved the problem synonymous.

Keeping the start button pressed to "reset" the console & that knocking on the bottom did not do much, which is supposed to fix the humming, but I do not want to unnecessarily damage the console by slamming it too hard.

So, am I forced to replace the drive, or is there a way to fix it?

Can I tell you exactly…

The drive bay is retracted via motor and a belt. The belt is worn or dirty.

New belt or first clean it with alcohol, so he grabs again.

Also clean the motor drive.

But just give the alcohol on the rag. Never directly into the drive.

You have to open the case already.

But more than it still does not work after that can't happen.

So be it sporty.

I never had such a device in my hands, but I know the principle from CD players.

Something else… Remove the old grease from the moving parts with a Qtip and grease it again. But. It has to be fat. No oil!

If you have short rubber bands, it can be a solution after all that I suggested before.

Rubber bands do not last as long as the black belt.
