Which controller do I need?

I have now switched from the Ps4 to the PC after 4 years and still wanted a controller because I got used to it. I chose the Xbox controller. However, I don't know which one I need exactly. Can I use the normal Xbox Wireless Controller or do I need the cable / USB adapter?

You can also use your old ps4 controllers if you still have them. Have to see what the xbox controller sends for a type of radio signal (i.e. Bluetooth, via Wi-Fi, nfc, etc) and whether your pc can receive it

If I can make another suggestion, how about a gaming mouse? I initially used it when I changed because with a controller you can just as well stay with ps4

If it is a controller from the xbox one S or X you don't need one. But you need Bluetooth and if it is the controller of the very old Xbox One so nasty fats then you need one.
