Got a pretty scratched Xbox 360 CD and heard that you can get it running with toothpaste. Is that true, if so how does it work. Or are there better methods for little money?
I don't know how exactly toothpaste should fix anything. At the most, this could fill a protective cover, thus visually bringing an advantage. However, the data on the CD should not be recoverable.
However, this could possibly be done with special software on the computer. (Although I actually doubt it. The program should be able to guess data, hence at least know the file system or the file format, which is not necessarily the case with console data.)
