It really depends on what you want to play.
If you have a powerful pc, there's no need to buy an Xbox. The Xbox ultimate game pass is really good, especially for people who don't have that much money.
Hardware performance is also better, but with consoles the minimal difference doesn't really matter.
The ps has very good exclusive titles, which for me is the only reason that speaks for the Ps5. But if you don't care about the titles, I prefer to use the Xbox, because the price / performance ratio is better.
I've always been Team Sony. It's just a shame I haven't received it yet.
