My question refers more to the console player, I've bought a 144 hz monitor with 1ms response time, because I had heard of the 120hz update for Xbox One S, However, I come with Fortnite to a maximum of 60 FPS, Xbox stands on 120hz monitor settings are right matching HDMI 2.0 is also in use, one has an idea what it could be? Many had told me Fortnite in itself is on the (console) only 60FPS. Thanks for your answers in advance have really 0 idea of it.
Consoles are never suitable for high FPS. It may be because Fortnite on consoles has automatically activated the 60FPS maximum cap. Considering that consoles play with preset settings that are rather nice than ugly but fast, you will not be able to achieve much more FPS anyway.
Be happy that 60 fps can be achieved. HDMI is also not really suitable for gaming. I would buy a PC because I can gamble with much more FPS
