Why doesn't Xbox have a rechargeable controller like the Playstation?
Ask Microsoft Support.
Hi
Xbox ships with rechargeable batteries. As with the Playstation, you can connect and charge the cable at the back.
The only difference is that you have to buy new batteries from ps and from xbox they are batteries that you have to buy new (as soon as they no longer work).
It is not such a big difference.
You have to buy https://www.saturn.de/...%7Cp%7C%7C for 15 euro extra
Counter question,
why does the Playstation controller have a built-in battery and not like the Xbox controller a choice how to operate it?
Basically, built-in batteries in devices are never an advantage for the consumer, but only for the manufacturer.
If the battery in the PS controller is exhausted, you can scrap it, including the actually recyclable battery.
Microsoft, however, leaves the choice to the customer.
Batteries are included with the Xbox controller. Not exactly the best option ecologically and economically but you can continue to operate it with new batteries. Or you use your own batteries. You always have a pair in the controller and one loaded on reserve. Or you can use the Play and Charge Kit. A battery pack can also be charged as with the PS using the enclosed 2m USB cable.
So of course you can also operate it.
The batteries in the scope of delivery are not rechargeable batteries but normal batteries.
This means that they can't be recharged.
He doesn't need it, he's asking here.
And I even give a meaningful answer!
They are rechargeable batteries so you can use them as a battery…
What nonsense are you talking about? Or do you live in a strange country where Microsoft uses the controller batteries.
So again, especially to the questioner.
No, normal AA batteries from Duracell are included and they can't be recharged.
Apparently you didn't get rechargeable batteries because mine says '' rechargeable ''
I currently have 5 original controllers.
One of them was the One X, an elite as well as a Gears of War controller from the Saturn electronics market and two self-designed by Microsoft from the Xbox Designlab.
All of them only included normal batteries and no rechargeable batteries. You are welcome to check this on the websites listed.
Where did you get your controller from? Or does everything tick differently in Austria?
Hans bought from Mediamarkt (xbox one x)
It doesn't matter whether it has batteries or not. The Xbox controller costs 10 euro less than the ps controller and two batteries cost 5 euro
