I bought a wireless adapter for Windows 10 today, but it can't find the controller.
In case it matters: the controller is the new next gen controller of the Series X.
Did you use the pairing function? On the charging socket of the controller is a small button that you have to press and on the adapter so that the controller can establish the connection. Otherwise connect to the PC using the charging cable.
It does not work
You'll need to hold it down for a few seconds until the Xbox icon flashes on the controller.
I looked at the questions on Amazon and found this here:
Compatibility with the pc: "has xbox wireless and bluetooth technology" do i not need a wireless adapter like with the previous model?
Answer:
I also had problems with the controller on Windows 10.
SOLUTION: Install all pending Windows updates, then install the "Xbox Accessories" app from the Microsoft Store, connect the controller to the PC via USB and update the firmware with the app, then restart Windows.
After I've done all of this, it also works in games without any problems.
Did you connect via bluetooth or adapter?
The controller does not flash but the adapter
What kind of adapter is that (i.e. Name / link)? Will other devices work with the adapter?
