Can the Nintendo Switch break if you stop and start a game more often?

My wife and I are arguing over the Nintendo Switch on one point: she says it's not good for the Nintendo Switch to start a game that closes, starts again, closes, and so on and immediately. Don't ask for the meaning, but that's how it came about in a discussion. I in turn think that it is similar to a PC: you can start and close a game as often as you like without fear of losing data or damaging the console. Does anyone have any specific information?

No

That's nonsense, there are enough people who soft-reset the games to play Shinys in Pokemon to 'hunt' have never heard of a switch or other console that has caused damage.

And there the games are sometimes restarted thousands of times.

It depends on how the components in the game card or the console are worn. There are definitely a certain number of starts and resets that a console or card has to endure. But I doubt that the number could ever be reached. So I would say no, nothing would be damaged
