I have a 1 year guarantee. It didn't fall off or anything. The button just got stuck despite normal use and it is just as if it was pressed in and you can no longer press it.

Do you have an extra guarantee? If not, then the Media Markt guarantee is voluntary. You have a 2 year warranty, but it will be checked whether the damage is a manufacturer's error or your own fault. This also includes normal wear and tear on the item.
