My wife likes video games. I think that's pretty cool, actually. But now she has got it into her head that she needs a Playstation 5 that is currently out of print.
I told her to wait until it was widely available again. But since her sister won a PS5 in a raffle, she's been wanting one right away.
Your attempt to get hold of one privately on ebay classifieds ended in an attempt at fraud. That's why she howled my ears for days. She had to obtain a chargeback at the bank and report to the police. So a lot of stress for nothing.
Today she tried to buy one on Amazon, but before she could pay the allotment ran out again.
Now she wants to try again to buy from a private person…
I'm slowly getting really pissed off. How do I get it to either legally and safely get to such a PS5 or to wait like every normal person for it to be available again in stores?
She is grown up and she can do whatever she wants.
Simple requirement:
Either in reputable online retail or just in person. You are on the safe side.

Why is it so difficult for her to be patient for a few weeks? A PS5 is not essential. Is that just envy of the sister?
Anyway… I would tell her: do what you think is right, but don't cry my ears if you run into a cheater again. Then that's your thing… And please pay with PayPal!
There are daily updates where they are offered or when you can expect them.
Ask them what they absolutely have to gamble that they can't gamble on the PS4? (If she has one.)
I've had the PS5 since its release, but could have taken the wait now. There aren't that many PS5 exclusives yet.
