I bought a Playstation5 and also bought a monitor from Dell alienware aw2521hf
But now I have seen that you only get 120FPS with a 2.1 HDMI connection. Now I would like to know if the monitor is suitable for the Ps5?

and does more FPS bring any advantages to first-person shooter games?

It's just about the fact that when I play on the monitor I have less FPS when I connect to normal HDMI, because I think the monitor has no HDMI 2.1 connection. So does that bring disadvantages with less FPS to games in first person shooter games?

The monitor is linked below. Dell would be happy to help.

This applies to 4K monitors. The linked monitor is a Full HD monitor, so it only has 1/4 of the pixels. Accordingly, the corresponding repetition rate can also be transmitted via HDMI 2.

Incidentally, HDMI 2.0 generally only works with 120Hz at 4K with color subsampling.
