My girlfriend played over 5000 hours of Playstation in 2020 and also posted it on Facebook (see last question). A comment on Facebook from a guy was that the time should go to the computer addiction center. Now she's been playing the whole weekend again and I told him that she should go to therapy. Then she said I was just as much a computer addict as she was. OK, I'm at the computer a lot because I program a lot of mathematical algorithms and C ++ can be quite tricky. You can easily spend half a day on it.
Does this mean that I'm just as addicted to computers as my girlfriend is and also need therapy?
No, if you think you don't have gambling addiction, then you don't either.
Hmm you don't play but do something for your job or learn to program that is different from playing. Just do something together every now and then and don't sit at the PC / console all day. ^^
The number of hours says 0 about an addiction.
It depends on whether someone can still cope without it and is just doing it for fun or whether you need it for life and feel very bad without it.
An addiction means a very strong desire for a state of experience. Just because you spend a lot of time on the PC still isn't an addiction. You have to find out for yourself how far the whole thing applies. Can you also sometimes without? Do you have other hobbies?
5000 hours? Is that an average of almost 14 hours a day? If you sleep and then maybe have other things to do, do you have 14 hours left a day? So not me! LG!
