Ps4 doesn't connect to controller?

I got a Ps4 from a good colleague before everything worked. He had sold the controller to another colleague and he drove away and now I tried to connect the Ps4 to the controller but nothing happened and I didn't even get a second one to see if it was up to the controller and connected both not blinking just white and then glowing orange I have already reset the controller and connected to the Ps4 nothing worked

can somebody help me? (don't know much about Ps4)

Have you already tried to connect the Conti directly to the ps4 by cable?

That should definitely work. If not, it may be (additionally) that the USB ports are defective.

But if it works, then go to Settings → Devices → Bluetooth devices

If everything does not help, cancel the purchase or give it to a professional

I tried it all and just tried to connect the controller to my ps3 to see if it worked but somehow I didn't manage it

Your contis don't work with your ps3 either?
