Why is my PS4 controller charging wirelessly?

I charged my PS4 controller earlier and then disconnected it from the cable, but it still shows as Charged all the time. So it lights up as yellow as if it were loading and the PS4 quick menu says it is loading at the bottom left. I know that I'm not really a disadvantage but of course I worry that it will break, because it must probably still have a voltage from the cable and too much is bad for him. My question now is how can I stop that and why is that? A quick answer, please.

Turn on the Ps, plug the controller cable into the Ps itself and the controller and press the Ps button. Then take off and should go again
