Are you allowed to use the name Red Bull on YouTube, Twitch. Use even though it's copyrighted?

The Red Bull trademark is legally protected. If you want to start out as a Youtuber, are you still allowed to take the name Red Bull and still be successful without receiving any punishment or the like?

Ph

No, if you would be successful, you would get an ad quickly and look for a creative name.

Wi

I thought you just want to show or name the name. What you plan to do is different. The brand name is of course protected and can't be used for you.

The risk of blackout is far too great, or the viewers could think that it has something to do with Red Bull or even comes from them. That sounds like a lot of trouble.

A 15-year-old Youtube boy is unlikely to be able to cope with a trademark lawsuit. It's about a little more than your pocket money.

Ri

In principle, if there's no risk of confusion.

ma

Yes, that is usually not a problem.

Brand names are protected for certain classes. The name could therefore be controversial in a forum about drinks, but it would probably not be on Youtube.

Second, trademarks are protected for "business dealings", but not for private purposes. If you don't use the nickname on YouTube as the name of a commercial channel, but only as an end user, that shouldn't be a problem.

Advice: Just avoid well-known brand names and come up with a more creative, individual name. "Blue Bull" would be different enough.

How about Red Mighty Bull? 😂

ma

Yes, why not. Or just "Mighty Bull"?
