Do you think youtube can catch up with Twitch in live streams?

Me

Can and will. It's easier to be on one side only.

al

Twitch still has a streaming monopoly. Are there enough platforms such as mixers, etc. Which also have large numbers of users, but Twitch is so far simply unmatched

al

It's easier to be on one side only.

Can you only be active on Twitch?

Po

For me it is a clear "yes" and only a question of commission. Doesn't matter to all the streamers on which platform they are streaming. If the earnings on platform A are significantly higher than on platform B, the person will change.

Me

First and foremost, I'm concerned with YouTubers who have already built up their fan base there.

al

Many Youtubers, especially big YouTubers, stream on twitch and not YouTube.

Me

Because it was common at the time. There were no other options.

al

You can stream on YouTube for a long time, but due to the compression that the stream suffers on YouTube, the delay and quality are much worse than with twitch

Me

Then fix it and boom, YouTube overtakes Twitch.

al

Well, you won't, because it costs storage space and storage space costs money.

Me

And money is the last thing Google has to worry about.

Gu

You can also upload videos to Twitch

Gu

However, on Yt you can do a lot less I'm Stream stuff. E.g. Can you listen to any music on Twitch, on Yt only NCS. Twitch also has better mod tools

Po

If the streamers earn 20% more, most of it won't matter. Then some other argument for the change is put forward.

sa

Google is behind YouTube, if they set themselves the primary goal of building a streaming monopoly, they would surely get it.

You could quickly eliminate all the disadvantages that are available on YouTube streaming and make everything much faster and more enjoyable…

lo

Maybe over 10 years. They are definitely catching up, especially when it comes to gaming.

al

Of course they don't have to, but it probably wouldn't pay off, so why should they spend money unnecessarily?
