I have a question I have a gaming pc and recently I got an xbox 360 controller to play the problem now is that the controller does not want to connect to the pc so I don't understand why because I have the USB from the charging cable on the pc connected and the other cable on the controller it just doesn't want to connect can someone please help me
Well first of all it has to be a USB cable that doesn't just charge, otherwise it won't work. Plus, your game has to support it too.

Yes, that is already clear. But there are USB cables that can only charge and then which can also transfer data. If you have one that can only charge then it only does that and it's no wonder that your XBox controller won't connect. So the question is what kind of one do you have. And as I said, are you sure that the controller is not connected and that it is not just the game? You can also try to set up a controller manually in the settings if it does not work automatically.

And in general have you checked your Windows settings and tried to set up the controller manually?
For me with Bluetooth it says that the controller is there for devices when I pull the USB cable out of the controller, with Bluetooth the controller is gone for my devices if I don't pull out the cable it is still there
