Never charged a game via PayPal?

I recently got an email from Paypal that Microsoft debited me almost 60 euro for a game that none of us bought. The xbox was not connected for days and no one logged in either.

Microsoft refuses to send me the money back, even though the game has not been used.

Find that a cheek of them.

I gave them permission to debit, but only for the GamePass.

Has anyone ever had that?

Anyone a tip?

And does the game have a name too?

Microsoft refuses to send the money back

It sounds like you just wrote a request instead of requesting a refund. I suspect a communication problem or that someone secretly bought the game from you.

What does paypal say about the process if you want to criticize this action there?

Something like this has never happened to me before, but I would have liked to have assessed it more closely, but I'm missing all the facts about the transaction, for example the game and the date and to see whether the game has already started. For most of it, you don't even need the console, a home computer is enough.

If Microsoft doesn't want to cooperate, I would contact PayPal instead of you. They can usually do that. Prevent or undo

Sure your daughter didn't buy this or something without telling you?

But even then no contract was signed or it is void because the daughter is still a minor… In theory you can sue for the money, but it is not financially worthwhile.

But you can contact PayPal and ask how this could have happened.

It struck me that sometimes someone would probably click on a great e-mail and then "verify" their data there.

We have already asked for a refund. I can see when I logged into my account at xbox, at the time there was no login. We don't have a PC either. It was definitely not my daughter either, what should she do with the Forza 4 game, the normal version would also be free in Game Pass

Paypal doesn't do anything either, because I gave Microsoft authorization to debit the Game Pass

From the other answers and also from your comments I can see that a purchase was made. Because you received an equivalent value with the game.

In your description, however, it sounds like Microsoft is simply debiting money.

I've never heard of such a mistake. And to make a purchase, it is not absolutely necessary to use the console. This can also be done via the app or the PC.

Can you really rule out that nobody has access to your account information?

Otherwise it is possible to cancel a digital purchase from Microsoft.

However, I don't know whether this is possible with you. You can find more here.

Why should Microsoft refuse this?

You have a 14-day money back guarantee.

That means you can just hand in the game - at least as long as you haven't played the game for more than an hour.
