Which controller for the pc?

I wanted to buy a controller for the PC, because some games are more comfortable than a keyboard and mouse.

I'm thinking of ordering the https://www.amazon.de/...07SDFLVKD/ or the https://www.amazon.de/...08H99BPJN/

are all 2 equally well supported by PC games or is the Xbox controller better in terms of compatibility when playing games?

With the DualSense I know that it is supported by Steam, for example, but I have no idea how it looks with other games outside of Steam. With the PS4 controller, I can still remember that an extra program was needed to configure the controller.

The Xbox controller is compatible with most games. Mostly even more than the DualShock4 or DualSense.

What can also happen with a few games is that the DS works, but the Xbox button layout is displayed.

But typically both controllers will work for 99% of controller-supported games.

All Xbox controllers from Xbox One S are compatible with almost all games. There are only a few exceptions, but they are less relevant.

In principle, the Xbox One and Xbox Series controllers are the best controllers for Windows (10).

All Playstation controllers, on the other hand, are, to put it nicely, not particularly compatible with Windows. Steam is the only platform that recognizes the controller. If you try to play games with the Playstation controllers on Epic Games, the Xbox Launcher, the Blizzard Launcher & the Xbox Launcher, you will quickly find that it does not work.

With Dualsense it is the same problem as with the Dualschock 4 controller. Are from the same Asian manufacturer. You need the extra program that laboriously outputs your controller as an Xbox controller and eats up a bit of CPU power.

On the whole, I recommend you to buy an Xbox controller, as these are much higher quality, more compatible and, above all, more durable.

I will order the Xbox controller, I think you are right about the compatibility, was my guess.

but I have to disagree on the points of higher quality and longer lasting, they are no better either.

But they are. ^^

I'm speaking from my own experience.

The longevity of the rubber sticks of the Playstation 4 and 5 controllers, for example, is significantly less than that of the Xbox controllers.

So these wear out very quickly and do not really promote the longevity of the controller.

Another point would be that the shoulder buttons (Playstation 4 & 5, which are identical) can be worn out very quickly, so the plastic can break off, get stuck in the interior or just jump out. This is not the case with the Xbox controllers.

Ultimately, the points also speak for the processing quality and, if you are honest, the Playstation 4 & 5 controller is not particularly good.
