Do you need the video game console cases?

I have so many original cases and I don't like to have any cases anymore, because they take up a lot of space I have ps3, ps4, switch, xbox, 3DS games and I like to put them in a storage box,

did you do something like that, put all the games out and threw the covers away

bu

I would never leave the cardbridges / CDs lying around open without a protective cover. Furthermore, games have an enormous loss of value and are harder to resell. Furthermore, all games are mixed up and you have to search forever until you find the right one.

Never leave the games lying around! If you don't feel like wearing the cases anymore, there are two options:

You sell the covers or throw them away, but this results in a decrease in the value of the games.
In the future, you will only buy games digitally. Then you can no longer resell the games & many games are more expensive digitally than physically.

I put my XBox games in an old CD folder and placed them over the Xbox. Just dispose of cases and it's good

How do you think they have lost value? Are they then broken or white

iv

No. But if you should sell them later you won't get much for it. The cases make a big difference in price.

If you keep the games, let's say they'll still work for 40 years? =

iv

That depends on the game, as well as on the storage medium. Old Gameboy games e.g. Often no longer work because the battery in the module is empty. These can be exchanged with a little charge. But in principle yes, why not? Old CDs or records still work.
