Xbox one SSD usb?

I wanted to connect an external memory card to my Xbox. I have an SSD lying around here and bought an adapter that goes from SSD to usb. But my Xbox doesn't recognize it. What to do?

You have to format the SSD with the XBOX.

The Xbox may only recognize data carriers up to a certain size via USB. Maybe your ssd is too big.

Is that 3.5 inch? They are too big and the power via USB is not enough for them.

It should be possible to buy an external SSD and then connect it.
I don't have an Xbox, but if you have an external SSD lying around, try connecting it. If that works you can e.g. Buy a larger external SSD on Amazon.

That sir is not an SSD but an HDD and probably the little one gets power. 3.5 "not at all and 2.5" usually want 2 USB ports for sufficient power.
