How bad is dust for devices PlayStation pc Xbox etc?
Dust has a significant influence on the cooling performance. With more dust, it gradually decreases more and more until the hardware can't be properly cooled. The result is then often an automatic switch off the devices, because they otherwise threaten to overheat.
It usually takes a long time for a sufficiently thick layer of dust to form and, in my experience, is more common in a PC system.
In itself it is not bad, it can't damage anything, especially most of your listed devices have dust filters in front of the fans. A little dust in the long run but still in the device into what only causes the device at some point worse / slower running or if really very much dust is in it can happen that by the insufficient cooling the device smears. What can be done about it? Simply open and carefully remove the device from the dust. (Please do NOT touch the boards with your fingers and do not touch them!)
