I have an Intenso 3.5 inch hard drive with 3TB and USB 3.0 and would like to use this for the PS4 as external memory. Unfortunately, the hard drive is not recognized by the PS4 and thus not displayed as a USB storage device. Although I have formatted it on the PC as Fat32 and exFAT, but unfortunately that does not solve the problem. The question now is how do I make it that the PS4 recognizes the hard drive.
I may not have the solution, but try to rule out the possible sources of error. That USB port to change the PS4, other USB cable, the HDD has enough power (probably separate power supply)? Latest OS on the PS4?
The file format can't be mMn because the HDD is formatted after recognition on the Sony OS.
My PS4 Pro hangs a 5TB HDD on the rear USB and it works fine.
Thanks for your answer have just plugged the hard drive s.PC and noticed that the 2.0 port, the disk is displayed but about 3.0 you can't even access the disk management. I think it will be the cable. Although I had to order a new one but hopefully it will work!
