Yesterday I bought a "Nacon" brand controller for the Playstation. Since it doesn't fit well in my hand and you couldn't test it in any other way, I wanted to give it back, but got the answer I have no right to give it back, because I had it in my hand. The box is in perfect condition, only the tape was cut, the cable etc was also packed, it was really just taken out once and packed back into the box like I bought it.
Do I really have no chance? Which laws do they refer to?
The seller is an expert
Where did you buy the controller?
In the shop? On-line? If online in which shop? Where is he sitting?
In the shop
That sounds very dubious: - /
In the store, as I read below, they HAVE to take it back.
Hopefully you still have the receipt?
Sure I have everything, so would you have to take it?
Yes, especially if you only bought it yesterday and it is new too… Unless it was used and you have pointed out beforehand that you can't return it, believe that you have the right on your side when the going gets tough, but the seller can point it out.
Are you probably younger? Maybe the seller is trying to fool you a bit because you're younger…
Otherwise, take someone from your family with you to build up a little more "pressure".
There's no such thing as "I'll give it back because I don't like it".
The seller is right. You should have picked up the controller on site.
Did you buy it in the market or online?
With online purchases you always have a 14-day right of return. Exceptions are sealed and perishable goods or hygiene articles (such as underwear or the like).
If you bought the controller in the market it may be different. But it would be strange. In my opinion, the other large electronics stores such as Saturn or Media Markt easily exchange everything or take back items.
Should have read the description carefully, unfortunately it is so that you do not always have the right to request a return
That's exactly how I know it! But at Expert I was told in no uncertain terms, no exchanges or the like!
There's no right of return in the store.
Online already.
So if you bought it on site, everything else is pure goodwill from the market. Even if many are extremely accommodating here, you have no claim to it.
Nonsense with them again, many are open if you don't ask for your money back but want an exchange for another item.
In the store, as I read below, they HAVE to take it back.
Who told you such nonsense? There's no general right of return in stationary retail.
