What do you find better to watch or live stream yourself: YouTube or Twitch? Personally, I like YouTube more, what do you think?

Bo

Definitely Twitch for streaming! YouTube is now too "young" for me, which is why I find Twitch generally more attractive.

For VoD or classic videos, YouTube is of course unbeatable.

Find YouTube better than Twitch for streaming.

Especially if you've already built a community on YT like Unge e.g.

Then you have everything there and you don't have to be on two platforms

YouTube videos can also be streamed. I do this with the VLC player. For example, if I want to listen to a longer piece of music, I copy the URL of the video, paste it into the VLC player, click YouTube, listen to it, do something else at the same time and if I like it, I get it.

Classic videos only YouTube, of course.

By far Twitch based on live streams.
Of course, it may be that for some it makes more sense to stream on YouTube and I understand that too.
Viewed neutrally, no matter how much sense what makes for whom, I just think Twitch is better related to the rest. It's just VERY designed for streaming overall, you have a very good overview, an extremely good chat, optically much nicer in general, the devs are very behind to make everything better and better, many setting options, felt unbeatable with betterTTV addon, because even more setting options… Sounds maybe stupid, but Twitch also seems to me somehow more grown-up.
As long as you can stick to the "rules" of Twitch without much ado and otherwise have no major disadvantages in any way compared to Youtube, I would strongly recommend Twitch.
(I realize that Youtube also has very similar "rules")

As far as VODs are concerned, Youtube is of course much better because it feels like it's only designed for that.

So realtalk no platform can keep up with twitch when it comes to live streaming. It's just the way it is and it will stay that way for a long time

Well at unge it is also something else he has built up a community on twitch and then switched to yt, besides it is always good to have a second leg, unge even says himself
