Blu Ray Difference Between XBox One S and Blu Ray Player?

Not really.

As for DVDs and Blu Rays, my old Sony Blu Ray Player is better than my Xbox Series X.

Because your TV might play everything in game mode?

You should deactivate this when playing a film on the console.

I always activated the general profile (Sony TV)

I don't actually use the game mode because in my opinion it significantly worsens the colors (by the way, switching on automatically on a Sony TV only does the Playstation 3 4 or 5 if you don't change it)

I can't really describe it, but the picture of my standalone player is clearly superior to that of the Xbox Series X for DVDs, but for Blu Rays the picture is pretty much the same

The operation on the player is definitely better, I don't want to erode the expensive and still very rare console unnecessarily with video disks
