HDMI cable for PC?

I've only been playing on the Xbox One for a few years and have now bought a gaming PC from HardwareRat with an "MSI Z490 Gaming Plus" motherboard that supports HDMI (according to HardwareRat WhatsApp support) but now I wanted to ask if that HDMI cable from Xbox to monitor is the same as what I need for my PC.

Tv

By and large yes.

However, there are different HDMI standards that have different bandwidths.

Mo

Yes, it should be, because your console doesn't do anything else than the PC. Should go, so what should mean, that will work.

Li

As long as you do not let an APU do the picture calculation, you will rather plug the cable into the graphics card.

It depends on the cable, the graphics card and the screen whether the cable is suitable. If you're playing at 1080p @ 60hz the cable is pretty much guaranteed to work.

Perfect thank you!

I have to say I have no idea about the whole topic. So how exactly is it with the "different bandwidths"?

sm

I know what the topic is going on, unfortunately, really nothing. So I don't know what an APU is, yes I'll initially play with 1080p60hz.

Mo

Gladly, I'm happy if I could help.

Li

Unfortunately you have to answer in general if you don't get complete information. If you have a dedicated graphics card in the PC (connections below), connect the display there.

I don't have the PC yet so I don't know, I just want to get all the cables etc. So that when the PC comes I can start right away.

Unfortunately I don't know what a "dedicated graphics card" is, but maybe it helps if you know which PC I have.

Basically you can use the HDMI from the console for the PC and vice versa.

However, there are differences in terms of resolution and the associated refresh rate.

Some cables can e.g. 4k @ 60hz (60 frames / second), others only 4k @ 30hz.

Li

RTX 2080 Super = graphics card. And it has an HDMI 2.0 connection, so everything fits. Have fun with it!

Okay perfect.

Ahh okay, thank you very much!
