Was reported due to fraudulent goods (130 euro) for a ps4! I sent the ps4!
The recipient reported me after 3 days because I have not yet sent anything for reasons related to illness. After 4 days I sent it and the item arrived.
In the meantime, the guy has insulted me continuously, threatened me under pressure. He was obsessed with the fact that I was kidding him even though I wasn't.
When the article arrived he told me there was no ps4 in it but sand. I said no and he took a picture of it. I said that I would not want to blame him and assume it was the postman.
He then continued to threaten me and said that I was going to jail and then I gave in and sent the money back to him so that I wouldn't have any more stress on my cheek. According to him, he called the police and withdrew the complaint and they refused because I was "obviously" trying to cheat.
So far I have not received any mail or equivalent and I guarantee that I have put the correct article in.
What can I do now? Do the police believe him based on a photo? Could just as easily have been faked.
He has to prove it. So he should have opened the package in front of the delivery man.
Go to the police yourself and report this coercion and threats and blackmail if you are sure that you have not cheated. You didn't have to give him the money back if you had sent the thing to him. Get advice from the police and lawyer.
The police will record the report and investigate. I would have the post office give me the weight of the package (it will be weighed automatically) and compare it to the weight of the correct shipment. Is it well below or above it, I would ask myself how that can be. But one sentence from you makes me particularly suspicious:
Could just as easily have been faked.
It _may_ be. In short… Somehow I believe the recipient more
This means that he could have put the sand in and not just any postman. Since I don't want to assume anything, I use that it can be. Who you believe is irrelevant to the question
In addition, the package with the ps4 weighed 4 KG when I wrote the recipient to measure his, he said that he had already thrown it away.
The thing is that I don't mind these 130 euro less or more. But I want to avoid any stress. I work at a bank and a fraud complaint would portray me very badly so I tried everything to get him to withdraw it. But of course I will make my statement when it comes to that and also show the chat processes where you can clearly see that something was wrong from the beginning (not meant badly).
When the article arrived he told me there was no ps4 in it but sand. I said no and he took a picture of it.
vs.
This means that he could have put the sand in and not just any postman.
So if you give the police the same contradicting testimony, I see black. Either he said it was, or he could have done it. You speak conspicuously often in could. Either something is like that or it is not. The police should be able to determine the real weight of the shipment on request using the tracking number, as far as I know it is also weighed / photographed several times in the respective distribution centers.
If it was as you say you have nothing to fear… Your statements here have a "smack" as one would say in Swabian.
But no "postman" goes along with that. And the DHL people certainly not at all.
