Which is the best controller?

I'm looking for a good pro controller for the PC, it should best be good value for money. I don't want to buy the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 because I find it too expensive and I don't think the Xbox Controller Series 1 can do much less. A link to it would be cool but is not mandatory.
